Why a 180hp IO 360?

A fuel-injected 360 Lycoming in a Tiger has been a long running discussion.  It seems everyone wants an angle valve 200 hp IO360-C1C into a Grumman; you know, more power. 200hp seems like a great idea. Plus, a constant speed prop would be nice.  Note: I've installed a couple of MT props and I don't care for them.

 

I tried, for years, to get someone to finance the installation (in their plane) of a 180hp IO360.  I would do the labor for free.  Never got a taker.
